TIME TV has joined with Family Connections to raise the sum of $20,000 through crowd funding to purchase and install 10 or more Videophones in aged care facilities and retirement homes.
What is a Videophone?
A Videophone is an easy to use touch phone with a video screen. It differs from a mobile phone or a computer with a Skype account. The main screen of a Videophone displays the names of contacts in an easy format that anyone can use even your elderly grandfather with his shaking hands. He simply touches the screen to make a call.
With the Videophone, parents and grandparents can keep in touch with their children and grandchildren anywhere in the world.
A call on the Videophone is both an emotional and an exciting visual experience. It provides a platform for anyone to make sure their loving grandparents are happy and safe.
It also provides them with a sense of independence because they can easily call anyone from the comfort of their home and have a face-to-face experience.
